MEET MAX

Max McMurdo smiling widely, wearing a green shirt and a white undershirt, against a dark background.

Max's creative journey began with a washing-up liquid bottle and a little imagination. What others saw as rubbish, he saw as the beginnings of a spaceship.

That instinct to rethink, repurpose and reinvent has stayed with him ever since.

After graduating from Bournemouth University with a degree in Product Design and Visualisation, Max fulfilled his childhood ambition of becoming a car designer, working in Cologne, Germany.

His career has since taken him from the design studio to television screens, bookshelves and stages around the world, establishing him as a familiar face in the world of design, making and upcycling.

With an honorary doctorate in sustainable design, Max is passionate about making creativity accessible, encouraging people to think differently about the things they own and the spaces they inhabit.
